Hello world!

Hello! We are Isabelle and Elise Adourian. We are born in the US, but our mother’s side of the family lives in Armenia. We were baptized in Armenia, and we visit Armenia each summer. While in Armenia, we attend summer camp at Ohanyan School in Yerevan. We are 10 years old, and we started this blog this year, in the hopes of keeping it going for several more years.

Our main goal in starting this blog is to bring more people (especially Armenians) to Armenia. Our blog is from children’s perspective but it is not only for children. It is for children ages 1 and up.

  1. Hi Will! I’m at a movie theater right now, and Isabelle and my cousins ( including Helen) are watching Despicable Me. I’m not sure which one and they might be watching it in 3D. And yes, there are a lot of American movies here such as The Croods and a lot of other movies. After school, the kids usually have lots of homework so they might not have time to play video games. I’ll be back soon! -Elise

  2. Hi, Isabelle and Elise
What do Armenian children do for fun after school? As you know, I like to play video games and do things on the computer. Also, what movies and tv shows do kids like in Armenia? Do they show lots of American movies in Armenia? Sounds like you guys are having a great summer. See you back in the USA soon – Will

  3. I am so impressed! Your articles are so well written and informative. I saw how lavash was made (I couldn’t believe it gets stuck to the wall) and I saw big, fun looking balls on water with gerbil people in them and I got a very clear idea of what it would be like to be inside. I’m learning about the protests and the buildings and so much more. Keep up the good work! I can’t wait to see what else you write about.

  4. Dear Mr. Matz, I am so happy that you are coming to Armenia! Isabelle is writing a post on buildings, and I am about to post one on food. There are a lot of foods. My favorite is a food called dolma. It’s made of meat wrapped in grape leaves. – Elise

  5. You are a success. You wanted to attract people to come to Armenia? OK. I am coming. Your blogs make it sound so interesting, and your writing is so good. (Where did you learn the word “synchronized?”)
I loved your description of the cats, and I am not even a cat lover. But I want to know about other things. For example, can you describe the buildings? Or can you tell me about the food. If I am going to visit, these are things I will have to know.
    Keep writing. You are great.
